Mitchell Construction is building a pathway into paid construction work for people returning from incarceration, recovery or another difficult chapter.
We want to connect motivated people with entry-level construction opportunities, hands-on learning and a clear route toward greater responsibility. Experience is welcome, but a willingness to learn, show up and work safely matters most.
The program is being developed with a focus on paid work, practical instruction and respectful supervision. When roles become available, they may include site preparation, material handling, carpentry assistance, renovation work and other duties suited to each person's training and the job.

HOW WE PLAN TO BUILD IT
Opportunity with support.
We will build the pathway around real positions, supervised learning and appropriate community partners.
Training & mentorship
Start with safety, tools, site practices and dependable habits, then build practical trade skills with experienced crew members.
Community referrals
We intend to work with employment providers and reintegration or recovery supports to connect people with suitable opportunities.
Funding partnerships
We will pursue eligible government hiring, training and apprenticeship support with service providers as the program develops.

Participation will depend on available work, job-related requirements, safe placement and any partner program criteria. Submitting an interest form is not a job offer or a promise of funding. We will discuss any specific role and its pay, training and requirements before a hiring decision.
Organizations working in employment, reintegration, recovery or skilled-trades training are welcome to get in touch about referrals and possible partnerships.
